Approval workflow
Approvals add a review step between writing a post and publishing it. Useful for agencies, regulated industries, or any team where someone else needs to sign off before content goes live.
Enabling approvals
- Settings → Workspace → Approvals.
- Toggle Require approval before publishing.
- Choose who must approve:
- Any admin — any workspace Admin can approve.
- Specific approvers — pick named users.
- Per-channel approvers — different approvers for different channels.
When approvals are on, Authors can only submit for approval. Editors can still publish directly unless you also enable Editors require approval.
The flow
- Author writes the post and clicks Submit for approval.
- The configured approver(s) get an email and in-app notification.
- Approver reviews and either approves, requests changes, or approves with edits.
- Approved posts publish at the scheduled time.
Multiple approvers
If multiple approvers are configured, the default is any one of them can approve. To require all approvers to sign off, toggle Require all approvers. Useful for sensitive content (legal review + brand review both required).
Approval comments
Approvers can leave comments at the post or caption level. Authors see the comments inline when they open the draft. Comment threads stay with the post for audit history.
Audit log
Every approval action (submit, approve, request changes, edit) is logged with timestamp and user. Find the log under Settings → Workspace → Audit log.
