Pausing the queue

Pausing a channel stops the queue from advancing — already-scheduled posts wait, and no new posts publish — until you unpause.

When to pause

  • A product issue, news event, or PR situation where you don't want to post for a few days
  • A holiday break
  • You're reviewing the content lineup with stakeholders
  • You want to swap the order of upcoming posts without them publishing while you work

How to pause

  1. Open the Channels page.
  2. Click the channel and toggle Pause publishing.

The channel keeps its connection and tokens — only the queue stops. Specific-time posts also wait while paused.

What happens to missed slots

While paused, slots that would have run pass silently. The next post in the queue waits for the next slot after you unpause — it does not back-fire to catch up.

If you're stopping for a few days, pause. If you're handing the account off, disconnect.
