Link shortening
Schedulin can shorten URLs in your captions to a branded domain you control, or to our default schl.in/ short links.
Default shortener
Without configuration, links are passed through verbatim — no shortening. Networks like Twitter handle their own shortening with t.co/....
To enable Schedulin's shortener:
- Settings → Workspace → Link shortening.
- Toggle Shorten URLs in posts.
After this, every link in a post caption is shortened to schl.in/....
Click tracking
Shortened links capture click counts visible in analytics. Available metrics:
- Total clicks
- Clicks by network (where the link was posted)
- Clicks by post
- Click-through rate (clicks / impressions)
When not to shorten
- Twitter / X — already shortens to
t.co; double-shortening is wasteful and looks suspicious. - Affiliate links — some affiliate networks require unmodified URLs for attribution.
Toggle off per-post in the composer's Link tracking panel.
UTM + shortening
These work together. UTM params are added to the destination URL before shortening. Click-through users land on the long URL with UTM intact.
