Post templates

If you publish the same kind of content repeatedly — weekly recap posts, daily quotes, product launches — a template saves you from re-typing the structure each time.

What a template stores

  • Caption (with {{placeholder}} variables if you want)
  • Channels the template defaults to
  • Hashtag set
  • Media slots (e.g. "1 image required", "1 video optional")

It does not store the actual media or the publish time — you fill those in when you create a post from the template.

Creating a template

  1. In the composer, write a post you'd like to reuse.
  2. Click the menu (⋯) → Save as template.
  3. Name the template and pick whether it's personal (just you) or shared with the workspace.

Using a template

In the composer, click Templates at the top and pick one. The composer pre-fills the caption, channels, and hashtag set. Attach media and pick a time.

Variables

Use {{double-brace}} placeholders in the caption to mark slots you'll fill at post time:

This week on {{showName}}: {{episodeTitle}}
Listen now → {{link}}

When you create a post from this template, Schedulin prompts you for each variable before opening the composer.

Sharing templates with your team

Workspace templates appear for every team member. Use this for brand-approved post structures — captions, signoffs, and required hashtags. Personal templates are visible only to you.
