Hashtags
Hashtags in Schedulin are plain text in the caption. We don't transform or move them — what you type is what publishes.
Platform notes
- Instagram — up to 30 hashtags per post (Meta limit). Putting them at the end of the caption or in the first comment are both common patterns; in Schedulin, just type them at the end.
- Twitter / X — no limit, but counts against your character budget.
- LinkedIn — 3–5 hashtags is the norm. More can hurt distribution.
- TikTok — no limit; 3–5 niche tags outperform high-volume ones.
- Threads — only one hashtag per post is currently supported by Meta. If you include more, the others render as plain text.
- Bluesky — hashtags are live links once posted.
- Pinterest — hashtags exist but are de-emphasized in search; keywords in the description matter more.
- YouTube — up to 15 hashtags in a Shorts description; only the first three render above the title.
- Facebook — hashtags work but have low organic lift; not required.
Tips
- Save hashtag sets you reuse as post templates (see Post templates).
- For Instagram Reels, hashtags in the caption do affect distribution, not just discovery.
- Avoid banned or shadow-flagged tags. Instagram silently suppresses posts that use them.
Hashtag suggestions from the AI assistant
In the composer, the AI assistant can suggest hashtags based on your caption. Open the AI panel and ask "suggest hashtags for this." Suggested tags are inserted at the end of the caption — you can edit before scheduling. AI usage consumes credits; see AI credits.
