Using Hashnode with Schedulin
Schedulin publishes articles to Hashnode. Hashnode doesn't use OAuth — you connect with a personal access token (PAT), and Schedulin publishes on your behalf.
Hashnode Pro is required. As of 2026, Hashnode's API (reads and writes) requires an active Pro plan on your publication. Open your Hashnode blog dashboard, go to Billing, and click Upgrade to Pro before connecting — otherwise your token won't verify.
Connecting Hashnode
- On Hashnode, open Account Settings → Developer.
- Generate a personal access token and copy it.
- On Schedulin's Channels page, start the Hashnode connection and paste your token.
- Save. Schedulin verifies the token against Hashnode and finishes connecting your account.
If the connection ever stops working (for example the token was revoked), generate a new token and reconnect.
What you can publish
Hashnode is a blogging platform, so each post is an article rather than a short social update.

Composer options
Hashnode posts have a few article-specific options in the composer:
- Publication — Schedulin loads the publications on your account and lets you pick one from a dropdown, so you never have to copy a publication ID.
- Subtitle — an optional summary displayed beneath the title.
- Canonical URL — set this when you're cross-posting an article that was first published on your own site, so search engines credit the original.
Analytics
Hashnode's API doesn't expose post-level metrics, so engagement analytics aren't available for Hashnode articles. We still record the article and its URL.
Known limitations
- Requires an active Hashnode Pro plan on the publication (Hashnode's API is Pro-only).
- Articles require a title and a publication.
- No post-level analytics (Hashnode provides no metrics API for this).
