Using Discord with Schedulin
Schedulin posts to Discord through a bot that lives in your server. You connect once with Discord's OAuth flow, which invites the Schedulin bot into a server you manage, and then choose which channel each post goes to. You can schedule text, image, and video posts to Discord alongside every other platform.
Connecting Discord
- On Schedulin's Channels page, click Connect Discord.
- You'll be sent to Discord's authorization screen. Pick the server you want to add Schedulin to (you need Manage Server permission on it) and approve.
- Discord invites the Schedulin bot into that server and returns you to Schedulin, where the server appears in your channel list.
Schedulin publishes with the bot, not your personal account — so posts show up as the bot in your server.
Choosing a channel
Discord connections are per-server, and you pick the target channel on each post:
- In Discord, enable Developer Mode (User Settings → Advanced → Developer Mode).
- Right-click the channel you want to post to and choose Copy Channel ID.
- Paste that ID into the Channel ID field in Schedulin's composer.
Make sure the Schedulin bot can post in that channel — it needs View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links, and Attach Files there. If a channel restricts the bot's role, grant those permissions in the channel's settings.

- Caption length: up to 1,980 characters. Longer captions are trimmed to fit Discord's message limit.
- Media: up to 10 attachments per post.
Required fields
Every Discord post needs a Channel ID — the channel the message is posted to (see Choosing a channel above). Everything else (caption, media) is optional as long as the post isn't empty.
Analytics
Discord does not expose a public metrics API for messages, so Schedulin does not report likes, views, or engagement for Discord posts. Published posts still show as completed with a link to the message.
Troubleshooting
"Missing Permissions" (50013) — the bot is in the server but can't post in that channel. Give the Schedulin bot Send Messages and Attach Files (for media) in the channel's permission settings.
"Missing Access" / "Unknown Channel" (50001 / 10003) — the Channel ID is wrong, the channel was deleted, or the bot isn't in that server. Re-copy the channel ID and confirm the bot is a member of the server.
"Discord is not configured" — a server-side setup issue on Schedulin's end rather than your account. Contact support if it persists.
The bot isn't in my server anymore — if the bot was kicked, reconnect Discord from the Channels page to re-invite it.
