Using LinkedIn with Schedulin
Schedulin publishes to LinkedIn through the LinkedIn Marketing / UGC Posts API. You can schedule text, single-image, and single-video posts.
Connecting LinkedIn
On the Channels page, start the LinkedIn connection and sign in with the account you want to post from. Schedulin uses LinkedIn's OAuth flow and stores an access token tied to that account.
What you can publish
| Post type | Media | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Text post | — | Caption only |
| Single image post | 1 image | |
| Single video post | 1 video |
LinkedIn's UGC endpoint does not support native multi-image carousels or PDF "document posts" through the third-party publishing flow we use, so those aren't available in the composer.
Caption limit
Captions can be up to 5,000 characters, matching our global cap. Hashtags autolink on LinkedIn when the post publishes. @mentions of members and companies need exact LinkedIn handles.
Analytics
After the post publishes, Schedulin pulls engagement (likes, comments, impressions) into the Sent tab. Availability of specific metrics depends on whether the account is a personal profile or a Page — LinkedIn exposes more detail for Pages.
Known limitations
- Multi-image carousels and PDF document posts aren't available through the API flow we use.
- LinkedIn polls and "Life tab" posts are not supported.
- Tagging multiple profiles or companies in a single post is restricted by LinkedIn's API.
- LinkedIn enforcement flags duplicate content posted repeatedly from a profile. If you fan out the same caption across many LinkedIn channels, stagger the schedule and vary the text to avoid platform-side throttling.
