Facebook: Page vs Profile

Meta's Graph API only allows API-driven publishing to Facebook Pages, not personal profiles. This is Meta's restriction — every social media tool is bound by it.

If you only have a personal Facebook profile, you'll need to create a Page before connecting Facebook to Schedulin.

Creating a Page

  1. In Facebook, open Menu → Pages → Create new Page.
  2. Pick a category. The exact category doesn't matter much for publishing; pick what fits.
  3. Add a profile picture and cover image.
  4. Click Create Page.

The new Page is immediately available to connect in Schedulin.

Linking the Page to Instagram

If you also want to schedule Instagram from Schedulin, the Page needs to be linked to your Instagram Business/Creator account:

  1. In Instagram (mobile app), Settings → Account → Linked accounts → Facebook.
  2. Link the new Page.

See Instagram: Business vs Creator.

Connecting in Schedulin

  1. Channels → Connect a channel → Facebook.
  2. Sign in. Facebook lists every Page you admin.
  3. Pick the Pages you want Schedulin to publish to.

You can connect multiple Pages from a single Facebook login if you admin several.

Why API publishing to profiles is blocked

Meta disabled scheduled publishing to personal profiles in 2018 for privacy reasons. Personal profiles can only post via the Facebook app or website manually. This is not specific to Schedulin.
