Aspect ratios and platforms
Schedulin renders in three aspect ratios. Pick based on where you're publishing.
9:16 (1080 × 1920) — default
The vertical short-form format. Use it for:
- TikTok
- YouTube Shorts
- Instagram Reels
- Facebook Reels
- Threads video
- Pinterest Idea Pins
This is the right choice for ~90% of faceless renders. If you're not sure, pick 9:16.
1:1 (1080 × 1080) — square
Use 1:1 for:
- Instagram feed posts (non-Reels)
- LinkedIn video posts
- X / Twitter video
- Facebook feed
Square renders work well as 'highlights' from a longer faceless video — pull a punchy 30-second clip and post it as a feed asset alongside your Reels schedule.
16:9 (1920 × 1080) — landscape
Use 16:9 for:
- YouTube long-form (uploaded as a regular video, not a Short)
- LinkedIn long-form video
- Embedded video on a website or blog
Note: a 60-second 16:9 video uploaded to YouTube counts as a regular upload, not a Short. To enter the Shorts feed, the video must be vertical and under 60 seconds.
Re-rendering across ratios
Render once at 9:16 for your Shorts/Reels/TikTok push. If a video performs well, clone it in the editor, change the aspect ratio to 1:1, and re-render — Schedulin reuses the same script and voiceover and re-frames the visuals for the new ratio.
This lets you turn one winning script into three platform-native posts without writing anything twice.
